GOOD IDEAS PAGE

My book recomendation, ok so many people here may design their own websites, you know the form, the bookshelf in the library is crammed full of books, you cannot read them all, so which one do you choose?..it gets confusing. Assuming we are all past the dummies stage...Well this book will not tell you how to design, build or run a web site, what it will tell you is 'what is wrong with your site!!', after about 6 pages I thought....wow this writer knows his stuff and it is all commn sense.

"Predictions for the future of the web, well your guess is as good as mine. The only thing I'm sure of is a) most of the predictions I hear are almost certainly wrong and b) the things that will turn out to be most important will come as a surprise, even though in hindsight they'll seem perfectly obvious"

It is more cost effective to look after your existing customers than it is to have to go and find a new one.

If you cannot find something nice to say about someone, then say nothing at all. Business contacts don't want to hear you whinging about other people, they may think that you are like that with everyone, including them.

Buying an industrial machine ? (any machine) well if you are faced with a choice, try to raise the money to go for the next one up from the one you are aiming at, you'll learn the wisdom of this advice two years down the road.

Everybody has a different opinion, that is the way of the world.

Arguments are neither won nor lost, they are just put on hold.

Avoid pre-conceptions, for they are without foundations.

Do not pre-judge people you have not met

Treat a stranger as you would wish to be considered also

Before you build a bridge, survey the land on both sides carefully

And finally....Courtesy and a smile is a free commodity in life, use it.
